This delightful sculpture named Optimist/Pessimist that was originally designed by Carl Aubock in Vienna, Austria. His sculptures are still produced today in honour of his timeless design, having passed in late 1957.
Typical of many of his sculptures of the time this character has been created out of a patina and polished brass which will oxidise and alter as time passes. This sculpture is particularly iconic because it became the logo for the famous designer, as one of his most popular and celebrated designs.
