In stock now -The Sterling by Music Man John Petrucci Signature JP70 in an incredible Mystic Dream finish, is the latest member of the Petrucci Signature series of high quality instruments boasting premium features, designed to deliver the sound and playability required by progressive metal master and legendary shredder John Petrucci. The JP70 features an ultra lightweight double cutaway Basswood body that is highly contoured with a specially designed ‘scooped’ forearm designed to offer unfettered access to the highest register of the 24-fret Rosewood fretboard.
The ultra thin, hard maple neck has a scale length of 25.5“ and a fretboard radius of 16“, making it extremely comfortable in the hand, and the silky satin finish makes changing positions extremely smooth and easy. The JP70 has a neck and body built for speed and dynamic lead playing.
The JP70‘s killer sound comes from its electronics which have been improved upon in the latest version of the Petrucci signature 7-string. The JP70 features two high output humbucker pickups with specially designed ceramic magnets for outrageous power and scorching lead tones, and a newly designed metal pickup selector switch and volume and tone controls that allow you to blend pickup voicings with ease, giving this 7-string all of the power and sonic versatility you would ever need.
The Sterling by Music Man JP70 also features an enhanced Music Man spec recessed modern tremolo system with locking tuners for rock solid intonation and tuning stability.
